EXPERIENCE
Mr. Dardis has nearly 20 years of experience in surveying
tasks, including boundary and topographic surveys, subdivision
surveys and platting, right-of-way mapping, legal description
preparation, and computer utilization including CAICE software,
Electronic Field Book, Microstation, SKI GPS software, and
other software applications.
He spent seven years in the Florida D.O.T. District Two Surveying
and Mapping Department, and was closely involved in the early
development, and continued improvement of both the Electronic
Field Book, and CAICE software packages. While with the Department,
Mr. Dardis served on the Statewide Technical Advisory Committee
(including one year as Chairman), and the Statewide GPS standards
Committee. He was responsible for coordination, technical
support, and processing of all in-house design, control, and
GPS survey projects in District Two. He was also responsible
for providing technical support for the Department's consultants,
and the review and maintenance of all consultant survey data
submittals.
Before Mr. Dardis joined the F.D.O.T., he worked in the private
sector on various other types of survey projects such as boundary
and topographic surveys, sectional retracement, and mortgage
surveys including the preparation of subdivision plats and
legal descriptions. His experience in the private sector is
extensive in both the field and the office.
The following is a brief list of projects in which Mr. Dardis
has been responsible for coordinating and processing all in-house
surveys, including the computation of alignment, right-of-way
lines, section lines, and subdivision lines, and/or the review
of consultant submittals of electronic data for correctness
