Confederate Park located in “old” Jacksonville was developed in the 1920’s nestled between the commercial and residential districts north of the City. Our responsibilities were to provide landscaping, period lighting, monument relocation (with foundation design) and restoration, irrigation system design and fountain design for an existing pond. The redevelopment of the park was considered essential to the redevelopment of the adjacent neighborhood.

Coordination with the City of Jacksonville Parks and Recreation Department and the Springfield Women’s Association was a key element of the successful completion of the project.

Monument restoration and period lighting were included in this project.

The Springfield Women’s Association had worked with the City of Jacksonville to make the park restoration project eligible for Enhancement Funding. They worked very closely with our design team to insure their original concepts were incorporated into the final design.
